Jetstar flight JQ 413 from Gold Coast to Sydney was forced to land at Williamstown Air Force Base near Newcastle last night after smoke was seen coming from a toilet.
The flight initially asked for priority clearance to Sydney before asking for diversion to Newcastle, then to Williamstown.
The flight was being operated by an Airbus A321 with registration VH-VWZ.
