7NEWS has launched a new brand campaign, Connecting You.

Rolling out this week across TV, radio, digital, social and outdoor platforms, the campaign highlights the human stories and connections behind the news, with a series of TV commercials, presenter profiles, and behind-the-scenes content.

Anchors and correspondents from across the country – including Mark Ferguson, Michael Usher, Peter Mitchell, Rosanna Mangiarelli, Rick Ardon and Sarah Greenhalgh – feature in the campaign, sharing personal reflections on the importance of connecting with viewers through their reporting.

Seven’s Director of News and Current Affairs, Ray Kuka, said the campaign goes beyond a slogan.

“Connecting You is a promise. It positions 7NEWS as the essential link between people and what matters most – news that affects their families, their communities and their futures,” he said.

“Our journalists live and work in the communities they report on. The truth has never mattered more, and nothing beats the credibility that comes from our reporters being on the ground.”

Veteran presenter Michael Usher said connecting with viewers is at the core of effective journalism.
