CNN is rolling out extensive TV and digital coverage of former US President Donald Trump’s second state visit to the United Kingdom, a trip that begins on 16 September.
Anchors Kaitlan Collins, the network’s chief White House correspondent, and royal correspondent Max Foster will report from Windsor Castle across the three-day visit.
On 17 September they will be joined by White House reporter Alayna Treene, covering Trump and First Lady Melania Trump as they spend the day with King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Christiane Amanpour and Isa Soares will present special editions of their programmes from inside Windsor Castle, examining the setting and the significance of the visit.
Coverage continues on 18 September when Trump meets UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. CNN’s international diplomatic editor Nic Robertson will provide live reports from both London and the prime minister’s country residence at Chequers, where the two leaders will hold talks during a turbulent moment in global politics.
Online, CNN plans live updates starting late on 16 September as Trump’s plane lands in the UK, with rolling reports throughout his stay.
