CNN recorded strong audience growth across television, digital, and streaming platforms in September, with increases across all major time slots and shows. The network ranked among the top five cable channels in total daily viewership for the ninth consecutive month, according to Nielsen data.

CNN saw double-digit month-on-month growth compared to August 2025. Viewership among adults aged 25–54 rose 19% in total day (6 a.m.–6 a.m.), while overall audience numbers climbed 20%. Prime-time and morning programming also saw notable gains — weekday mornings were up 33% in the key demo and 22% among total viewers.

During weekday prime time, CNN’s audience rose 15% among adults 25–54 and 23% among total viewers, placing it among the top five networks for both categories. Daytime viewership was up 21% in the 25–54 demographic and 23% overall.

The network maintained consistent rankings through the third quarter of 2025, finishing as a top-five cable channel in total day audiences for the 13th straight quarter. CNN also placed in the top five for both total viewers and the 25–54 demographic across weekday and weekend prime-time and daytime slots.

CNN’s coverage of Farm Aid 40, a live broadcast held on 20 September, reached nearly four million viewers globally across all platforms. The televised portion of the event ranked sixth across all cable networks that night and drew a 25% larger audience than CNN’s average Saturday time slot.

Digital engagement also continued to grow, with viewing time per user up about 10% month-on-month across CNN’s online and streaming platforms in the United States, based on the most recent Comscore data.

Nielsen data for September was based on live-plus-seven-day viewing and included out-of-home audiences.
