In a coup for cricket fans, one of England’s all-time finest – Stuart Broad – is set to join Seven’s commentary team for the 2025-26 Ashes Series, which starts with the West Test in Perth on Tuesday, 21 November live and free on Seven, and 7plus Sport.

Considered one of England’s greatest ever test bowlers and an equally sharp analyst, Broad will be a familiar face to Australian viewers with a number of career-defining moments on the international stage, particularly within the game’s most storied rivalry.

Broad said he cannot wait to return to Australia for the summer to soak in the electric atmosphere of The Ashes, and to build on the rivalry between Australia and England in the commentary box, live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport.

“As we count down to one of the most anticipated Ashes Series in recent memory, I cannot wait to join Seven’s cricket commentary team for the 2025-26 summer of cricket,” he said.

“I’ve always loved coming to Australia and feeling the love from every Australian cricket fan, and I anticipate this summer won’t be any different.

“Since retiring from international cricket, I’ve received many well wishes and messages from passionate Australian fans, so to get the chance to speak to them directly on Seven and 7plus Sport – where Aussies turn for their cricket – is something I’m looking forward to,” Broad said.

“I can’t wait to be in the Seven commentary box to witness what will be another epic Ashes Series played in the right spirit, as all Ashes are. Aren’t they?

“To have the opportunity to call the Ashes alongside a group of Australian cricket’s greatest ever batsmen in Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer is a genuine treat, and I look forward to enjoying some healthy banter, paired with expert analysis between us all,” he said.
